A recent discussion on PCC Community was focused on Down Syndrome health supervision and using PCC EHR protocols to help with that work. Dr. Bowman from Cary Pediatrics and Dr. Kaplan from TLC Pediatrics of Frisco offered to share their protocols they have created.

First Choice Pediatrics Protocols

First Choice Pediatrics has agreed for us to share their protocols with other practices. They have diagnosis specific protocols built and small add-on protocols with diagnosis specific plan components. They also have a Nurse Intake protocol. This protocol is the protocol that is mapped to the sick visit reasons. The nurse fills out the Nurse Intake protocol and then the provider changes the protocol when they enter the room. By changing the protocol, the Nurse Intake section stays at the top of the visit, with the provider’s portion of the visit below.
